The first Lions auction was conducted in 1951. Since that time the auction has become a Pendleton tradition. Local merchants as well as a
number of outside area businesses donate a variety of items and services for the Lions to auction.
KUMA News Talk Radio donates
four hours of air time and Lion volunteers take over the station! The items are then auctioned off one by one with a shout out to each business
that has donated.
Over the years our local merchants have been very supportive of the auction. They know that their donations help
make Pendleton a better place to live.
The Lions are extremely grateful to KUMA and its parent company, Elkhorn Media Group, for supporting the radio auction. KUMA has demonstrated its dedication to
our local community and its citizens by hosting the Lions radio Auction for over 65 years! We encourage everyone to support our local radio stations!
The Lions Radio Auction is one of the club's most important fund raisers. The auction is a lot of fun and there are many outstanding deals to be had on quality items.
All proceeds are used by the Lions to help others in the community.
